New Features
Help Students Build Confidence Solving Multi-Step Story Problems
Affects: Young Learners |
All Waterford Programs
Early learners using Waterford Math & Science at the Basic and Fluent levels will now experience enhanced subtraction story-problem activities that guide them step-by-step through the problem-solving process. Instead of jumping directly to the final answer, students are supported in reading the story, representing each part of the problem visually, and identifying the correct numeral and unit.
These updates help students strengthen mathematical thinking while building confidence in showing their work—an important skill in today’s classroom environments. Guided voice prompts and visual supports encourage learners to slow down, process each step carefully, and develop deeper understanding of subtraction concepts.

Enhanced Features
Explore the Full Depth of the Reading Curriculum with the Enhanced Scope and Sequence
Affects:
Educators | All Waterford Programs
Waterford has enhanced the Reading Scope and Sequence resource to provide a more detailed view of instructional progression and skills development across the program. Educators and administrators can now more easily explore the depth of reading instruction within each level and better understand how foundational literacy skills build over time.
This update supports curriculum planning, program evaluation, and instructional conversations by offering additional context around the learning sequence and targeted reading skills students encounter throughout the program.
