Waterford Early Learning: Assigning an Activity or Playlist

To assign an activity or playlist to a student or class:

  1. Select the menu bar to the right of the activity or playlist.
  2. Choose Assign. A pop-up window will appear in your browser.
  3. Select the classroom of the student(s) you would like to assign the resource from the drop-down bar.
  4. Select the student(s) whom you would like to assign the resource. To assign an entire classroom, click Select All.
  5. If the resource is a playlist, select how you would like to assign it from the following options:
    1. Before Course: Assigned at the beginning of a student’s regular session. When a playlist is assigned before a course, the course will remain available until the assigned date. After this date, Waterford will replace the course with the assigned playlist until it is completed.
    2. After Course: Assigned after a student has finished their regular session. When a playlist is assigned after a course, students will see the playlist appear after they have completed their daily session on the assigned date. The playlist will remain until it is completed.
    3. Stand-alone: Assigned outside of a student’s regular session. When a playlist is assigned as a stand-alone, it will appear under their courses in a separate section labeled Assignments from Your Teacher.
By default, students can access all content, so this is only applicable if you have limited a student’s access to specific content.
  1. Select the date that you would like the student to access the content from the following options:
    1. Immediately
    2. On a specific date selected from the drop-down calendar
  2. Select the date that you would like to delete the assignment from the following options:
    1. On student completion
    2. On a specific date selected from the drop-down calendar
  3. Confirm your choices by choosing the blue Assign button.

Your selected student(s) or classroom will now be assigned the selected activity or playlist.
