Waterford.Org System Requirements
This article outlines the system requirements for Waterford.org software. These requirements apply to both mobile and desktop devices with the following considerations:
Ensure your device meets these guidelines for optimal performance.
- Currently, Benchmark Assessments are not supported on touchscreen devices and must be used on a desktop or laptop computer with a mouse or trackpad.
- Waterford mobile applications support tablet hardware only through iOS and Android. Phone, Desktop, and Laptop usage of these applications are not supported.
- Amazon Fire Tablets are not supported.
- Low broadband connection speeds may limit the total number of concurrent users.
- Product performance may suffer when below the recommended requirements.
The following minimum requirements are listed below.
Windows PC Hardware Requirements
- Recommended Operating System: Windows 11 +
- Processor: Processor Intel Pentium 4 1.6 GHz or higher
- Recommended CPU: 64-bit
- Recommended RAM: 8GB or greater
- Internet: Broadband internet connection
- Browser: Google Chrome— the most recent version is required for optimal experience
- Peripherals:
- Sturdy headset or speakers
- Computer mouse and keyboard (Touch screen functionality works with iPad or Android apps only)
- Microphone (Recommended for individual instruction)
- Interactive whiteboard, projector, or large monitor (Recommended for group instruction)
- Webcam (For additional log in options such as QR codes)
- Peripherals:
The Waterford Reading Academy mobile app and Mentor mobile app are not supported on Windows PC.

- Recommended Operating System: Mac OS X 13 (Ventura) or higher
- Processor: Intel Mac 1.8 GHz or higher
- Recommended CPU: 64-bit
- Recommended RAM: 8GB
- Internet: Broadband internet connection
- Browser: Google Chrome—the most recent version required for optimal experience
- Peripherals:
- Sturdy headset or speakers
- Computer mouse and keyboard (Touch screen functionality works with iPad or Android apps only)
- Microphone (Recommended for individual instruction)
- Interactive whiteboard, projector, or large monitor (Recommended for group instruction)
- Webcam (For additional log in options such as QR codes)
The Waterford Reading Academy mobile app and Mentor mobile app are not supported on MacOS Desktop devices or iOS smartphones.

- Recommended Operating System: iOS 18.1+
- Processor: 1 GHz +
- Recommended CPU: 64-bit
- Screen Resolution: 1200 x 1920 pixels; 16:10 ratio (~206 ppi density)
- Recommended Hardware:
- 10th Generation or higher for iPad
- 7th generation or higher for iPad Pro
- 6th generation or higher for iPad Air
- Peripherals:
- Sturdy headset with microphone
For Waterford Upstart, install the WRA app. The app runs in the background, so you don’t need to open it. Click here for instructions.
Mentor Desktop is not supported on iPad iOS.

- Operating System: Android 15+
- Processor: Recommended: Quadcore 1.7 Ghz
- Screen Resolution: 1200 x 1920 pixels; 16:10 ratio (~206 ppi density)
- Recommended CPU: 64-bit
- Recommended RAM: 8GB
- Internet: Wi-Fi 802.11n/4G
- Internal Storage: 8GB
- Peripherals:
- Sturdy headset with microphone or speakers
- Android: Camera 2 Mpx

- Sturdy headset or speakers
- Computer mouse (Touch screen functionality works with iPad or Android apps only)
- Microphone (Recommended for individual instruction)
