Waterford Early Learning: Setting Active Hours

Setting active hours enables educators to define the specific time frame during which students can begin their assigned sequences. This feature ensures that students can only start their activities within designated school hours, helping to maintain a structured learning environment. By configuring active hours, teachers can prevent students from starting a learning session outside of the intended timeframe, promoting consistency and focus in their learning routine.

To assign active hours to your class:

  1. Click on the Courses & Goals tab.
  1. Select Classes in the View menu.
  1. Click on the name of the class you would like to assign active hours to.
  2. Click on the course (e.g., SmartStart, Early Reading, and/or Early Math & Science)
  3. Click on Goals & Settings.
  4. Click the pencil Edit to adjust the Active Hours.
  1. Check the boxes you would like the course to be active.
  1. It is automatically set to all day. To change the window of time, uncheck All day and select the time you would like it available.
  2. Click Save to confirm your choices.
The system defaults active hours to 24/7 unless otherwise configured.
