New Features

Easily Monitor Standards Coverage with the Class Standards Report

Affects: Educators |  Waterford Early Learning

Educators can now access a Class Standards Report that provides a clear, comprehensive view of the state standards students encounter within the learning sequence. This report eliminates the need to pull information from multiple sources, making it easier to understand standards coverage at a glance.

The report displays all standards students have worked on across grade levels, with a default view aligned to the class’s assigned grade. Educators can sort and filter the data to better analyze student progress and identify trends.

Due to the size and level of detail, the report is available for export in XLS or CSV formats, supporting deeper analysis and sharing as needed. Visuals shown may not reflect the final design.

Gain Greater Control Over WACS Benchmarks

Affects: Educators |  Waterford Early Learning

District administrators can now manage who has permission to schedule and adjust WACS benchmarks, helping ensure alignment with district-defined timelines and expectations.

By default, only district administrators have access to manage benchmarks. Permissions can be extended to school administrators and educators through simple checkbox settings, allowing selected users to schedule and manage benchmark windows as needed.

All users will still be able to reset benchmarks once the window has opened. This update provides clearer control while maintaining flexibility for schools.

Enhanced Features

Avoid Lost Changes with Improved Editing Safeguards

Affects: Educators |  Waterford Early Learning

Administrators will now receive a prompt when attempting to navigate away from a staff or student record without saving changes.

This enhancement helps prevent accidental data loss when making multiple edits across records, ensuring that updates are not unintentionally lost. The improved experience supports more efficient and reliable record management.

Simplify Year-End Transitions with Improved Rollover Tools

Affects: Educators |  Waterford Early Learning

Administrators can now more easily manage the transition from one school year to the next with improved end-of-year and beginning-of-year rollover tools.

A new, centralized End-of-Year Tools screen brings together all required steps for completing the year-to-year transition, helping ensure nothing is missed. This reduces the risk of common issues such as students starting in the wrong place, incorrect class assignments, or reporting disruptions at the start of the new school year.

By streamlining and organizing the rollover process, this update supports a smoother, more reliable start to the new academic year.

These tools are available to district administrators only.

Support Student Thinking with Guided Story Problem Strategies for Addition

Affects:  Young Learners |  All Waterford Programs

This feature will be available starting April 27, 2026.

Students will now experience enhanced story problem activities that guide them step-by-step through solving addition problems and showing their work.

Rather than focusing only on the final answer, learners are supported in understanding the problem, representing each part of the story, and working through to a solution. This structured approach aligns with modern classroom expectations, for which demonstrating thinking is essential.

The initial release includes 15 new addition activities as part of the Picture Strategy module. Additional updates for subtraction, multiplication, and division are planned in future releases.
